The M&T Visa® Credit Card with Rewards is a rewards credit card that earns an unlimited 1% cash back on all purchases. You can earn a 10,000-point sign-up bonus (worth $100 in cash back) if you spend $500 in purchases in the first 90 days after opening an account. There is no annual fee, and the card offers a 0% introductory APR on purchases and balance transfers for the first 12 months. Cardholders receive benefits including zero liability fraud prevention, detection and resolution.
The M&T Visa® Credit Card with Rewards is a fairly straightforward card to use with its flat-rate 1% cash back on all purchases. If you have a large purchase you need to make, take advantage of the 12 months of 0% APR to avoid paying interest. Just divide the total by 12 months and make equal monthly payments. On the other hand, if you have a balance you’d like to transfer, you might be better off with a card that gives you more than 12 months and charges a lower fee than the 4% (minimum $10) incurred on the M&T Visa® Credit Card with Rewards.
The M&T Visa® Credit Card with Rewards is not competitive when it comes to rewards potential with its low 1% rate, and its 0% introductory APR on purchases and balance transfers for the first 12 months is shorter than some other cards. However, because its regular APR range is lower than some other cards on the market, it could be a decent choice if you may revolve a balance from time to time.
